Specialized Care for a Specific Life
Dr. Kelli Hyland is a psychiatrist and former diplomat. She spent almost a decade caring for military veterans. She then served across the Western Hemisphere and Asia as a Regional Psychiatrist for the State Department, before retiring in 2026.
She understands cycling through high-stress postings, losing continuity with stateside clinicians, and avoiding care entirely to protect clearances. She understands the isolation, sacrifice, and putting others and mission above self. She knows this life from the inside.
Dr. Hyland provides virtual psychiatric care exclusively to Foreign Service Officers and their adult family members, informed by the unique pressures of this work. Her practice is intentionally small. She provides LGBTQIA+ affirmative care.
When not seeing patients, she also enjoys reading, writing, creating art, weight training, running, travel, and spending time with her friends, musician husband, science-loving, artistic daughter, two ridiculous doodles, and bossy calico cat.
